During my PhD I showed how to use a regular DSLR camera as a microscope using bokeh photography. This image is the observation of the tracks of a CD-R. Two regions are visible corresponding to the written and unwritten areas of the compact disc.

During my PhD I showed how to use a regular DSLR camera as a microscope using bokeh photography. This image is the observation of the pixels of a LG G3 smartphone. Each pixel of the smartphone has an approximate size of 13 micrometers.
